This dress is awesome.
Backpack
So classic and comforting. I wanted this once, and then forgot about for a decade.
Might need to replace my Le Sportsac backpack.
From Creatures of Comfort.
2001: A Space Odyssey
". . . a tiny snapshot of the film every second. Each row contains sixty of these frames, representing one minute of film time.
This process continues for the whole movie . . ."
From Swap Meat.
Dream money
I've been having a recurring dream about counterfeit money:
(A.K. says he thinks I'm having money anxieties. A.W. says he thinks I'm worried about seeming fake.)
Anyhoo, it made me think of this article from the New Yorker turned into a book
about the artist J.S.G. Boggs, who draws his own money and then tries to "spend" it.
Various governments have sought to seize and destroy his work, which is often far more valuable
(and subjective value is part of what his work is about) than their face value.
Peruvian tourist
Read an old Teen Vogue while lounging by A.W.'s pool this afternoon.
This Peruvian tourist feature -- layers upon layers -- is too good.
Urban herb garden
My new herb garden, in the alley.
The ray of sunshine slowly travels across it during the day.
The ray of sunshine slowly travels across it during the day.
The moss on the far end is for rubbing when I get stressed.
Specs from Readymade.
Felt puzzle dress
This dress, by former Issey Miyake designer Kosuke Tsumara, is basically an Ikea lamp.
Forget H&M capsule collections; this is the future of avant-garde for the masses.

Chainmail glove
I don't think these gloves are what most people have in mind
when they use the words "classic" or "traditional" to describe an item of clothing.
But, really, what's more classic than frickin' chainmail?
Via violentgreen.
Mark Newport
What would be superpower of the person who wore the first one?
The ability to wash cars quickly and thoroughly?
The ability to look awesome?
Hand-knit costumes by Mark Newport at Greg Kucera Gallery.
Pale colors
A.K. says he can tell when I'm on my period because
it's the only time of the month when I want to wear pastels.
Things I'm liking on sale at Shopbop:
Proenza Schouler shoes, Thakoon sequin shorts.
